Description: Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) has become a standard method of service delivery in healthcare settings. This webshop offers you the chance to learn the basics of what is needed to be an interpreter in VRI healthcare settings. It will discuss equipment needed, software platforms, as well as teaming techniques to improve deaf patient’s experience in healthcare settings.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify environmental requirements to have a home VRI set up.
- Test VRI platforms and technology needed to work in VRI settings.
- Discuss readiness to work in VRI settings.
Time commitment
This webshop will require about 90 minutes of work. You must invest at least 75 minutes or more. There are no set meeting times. All work must be completed by 11:59pm on April 30.
